What is Erwin's Realm?


Erwin is a small community of gamers who are into old crappy games. We enjoy those leading edge games from the ninties with those big pixels and little round shadows that will blow your mind. We're just a group of friends, and when we're not off being corporate slaves we enjoy sitting back and playing the classics. It all started with an ageing heap of scrap metal hosting a lonely QuakeWorld Teamfortress server. Now Erwin has blossomed into the improved ageing piece of scrap that you know and love today.


What is the objective of Erwin's Realm?


The main purpose of this site is to try and get enough users to sustain a fully populated community of classic gamers. With the world aiming more towards touch and motion technologies in the gaming industry we are here to try and hang onto the gaming genres that are becoming a thing of the past. We are here to support gamers who are into playing games because they are fun, not to unlock achievements or gain levels. Because in the gaming world it's the journey not the destination. If it was the other way around it would be called work.


What features does Erwin's Realm offer?


There are many tools available to members. Members are able to create their own user profiles where they can list everything from their favorite games to what games they are currently playing, which makes things easier for other members to know who's playing the games they are into. Be sure to set your status as this is a good way to let people know what you're up to.


Erwin's Realm also features live chat where members can talk about whatever they'd like. This is another great tool used to meet new members to game with.


Another great feature of the site is the forum. From the forums you can start topics about your favorite games or request games you'd like to see hosted on Erwin's Realm. There is even an area on the forums we call the slums, where members can post whatever they want from funny pictures found online, youtube videos, to anything people may find interesting.
